I thought at first this might be like the series of articles in the nytimes (if I'm remembering correctly) of architectural projects that were never built - or a project like this, but in fact its not. instead it looks at the architectural experimentation of LA from 1970-1990 and asks what happened to that early innovation.

The measure will limit homes built on lots of 8,000 sq. ft. or less to 2,400 sq. ft. - or 40 percent of the lot size, whichever is greater.
Its a good History focusing in this post.
