building boom
a couple of recent articles on different buildings projects in LA - and not one is about grand ave:- LA Business Journal writes about plans for six new miracle mile projects that will bring new housing units and ground floor retail.
- Renewed interest in building in south central LA - it only took a decade + post-riot to get developers interested in the neighborhood again.
- and flipping the script - not about building - this one is about bulldozing. now that the public has won the legal right to use the public beaches in malibu, homeowners there have found a, um, unique, way to keep the unwashed masses away - bulldoze the beach.
