completely unrelated to LA, architecture, or real estate

but back in the day (the Internet heyday) I used to do a lot of TV, radio and press interviews. but when I went back to grad school, my days as an internet pundit were over. sorta.

tune in to NPR's marketplace tomorrow morning to hear me wax poetic on the state of television's advertising upfront and competition from cable.

thanks to aram for passing along the opportunity.

Nice job on the radio. It does seem to make sense to advertise on cable since it allows companies to better target their audience. On average, does it cost more per viewer to advertise on cable or on a network?

generally, on a per viewer basis, yes - it does cost more. However, while CPMs for cable might be sligtly higher than for network, the audience is so much smaller that the absolute cost is much lower.
